EA, a sleepy fishing village

Ea is a small coastal fishing village located on the coast, 50 km northeast from Bilbao, at the foot of a small estuary that winds its way through the cliffs to meet the sea. In town, the small river winds its way through the streets.

Three main bridges are found in Ea, the oldest one called "Roman Bridge" boasts a coat of arms from the medieval era. Settled in the 16th century Ea possesses small village charm and a long history for a pleasant day away from the crowds. Today the 900 inhabitants main source of economy continues to be the small fishing port, local agriculture and farms. For visitors there are a couple of restaurants, bars, playgrounds for the kids and a small beach with showers.
