General manager and sommelier Jon is a local expert when it comes to txakoli, having spent years researching the history and nuances of txakoli and working closely with local organizations to educate the public about local wines he is a wealth of information. His background in hospitality and culinary experience stems from La Rioja wine region in Spain to Paris, France. Jon manages the day-to-day operations of the vineyard and has also been known to prepare some delicious local dishes for guests in the txoko kitchen

During your guided visit you will learn how the environment, climate, techniques, character of the indigenous grapes and sustainable practices of the winemaker are reflected in each glass of wine. You will also enjoy five tastings, and wine pairings with local products.

Enjoy samples of the vineyard’s limited production wines and txakoli tastings from neighboring provinces, all served with a generous selection of local cheeses, spicy chorizo, brick oven bread toasts and chips.

Following your tasting, the winemaker will prepare an authentic local lunch in the vineyard txoko. The large well-appointed space, picturesque views overlooking the vineyards and seasonal local ingredients freshly prepared for your group will make for an unforgettable visit.
